Transport Manager

If your business is moving things for other people (not your own goods) or carrying passengers in return for payment, you are likely to need an operator’s licence and that in turn is likely to require a qualified transport manager.

As the exams for the transport manager qualifications only run 4 times a year and results take another six weeks many new businesses find themselves needing the services of a transport manager to bridge the gap between starting the business and one of their staff gaining the qualification.

I can provide a short term solution or indeed a more long term relationship to satisfy the Traffic Commissioner that your business will be run in accordance with the relevant regulations.

The time required to undertake these duties is determined by the Traffic Commissioner and is based on the size of your business. Compliance is assured by a combination of site visits and ongoing telephone / text / e-mail support.

ADR Training Course

Transporting dangerous goods by road professionally, in anything other than the smallest of quantities (other than excepted packages), requires the driver and crew to receive the appropriate level of training.

I am approved to teach the normal ADR classes as well as the specialised tankers, radioactives and explosives modules and the course is backed up with many real-life examples of the dangers such materials present.

The topics are explored in some depth so that by the end of the course students not only know the regulations but also have a thorough understanding of the consequences of failing to observe them.

Multiple course combinations are possible from needing just one class for a specific job through to a fully loaded certificate. I offer a flexible and friendly approach to what can appear to be a daunting subject and have an excellent pass rate.

The certificate lasts 5 years from date of issue and once the basic modules have been completed additional modules may be added at a later date if required.
