Light at the end of the tunnel

Much as providing internet based training has allowed people to achieve or renew qualifications in my view you can not beat the interaction that takes place in the classroom environment and I for one missed being able to deliver face to face training.

Many people see CPC as a waste of time - a money making exercise - "I've been doing it years". I sadly, will be the first to admit there are without doubt many 'trainers' who can read a PowerPoint screen but have no idea how to create an interactive, supportive and yes - even fun training session.

I don't do lectures - heck - even I hate lectures. I ask questions, look for your experiences that as a group we can share. The 'old hands' have much to bring to the 'new bods', years of experience, tales of the good old 4 over 4 Eton crash boxes, the days before Sat Nav when everyone carried a bag full of A-Zs.

Interaction is a critical part of a well delivered course and if people interact they enjoy themselves, and who knows, maybe the old dogs can learn a few new tricks. I look forward to getting to meeting students and look forward with hope.
